What expecting Utah moms should know before booking their newborn photography session.

If you're expecting a baby, you've probably already imagined those sweet newborn photos. The tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, curled-up poses, and beautiful portraits you'll treasure long after those first few weeks have passed.

But maybe you've also wondered...

What if my baby won't sleep? What if they cry the entire time? What if I'm exhausted and don't feel camera-ready?

Here's something I want every expecting mom to know:

Your baby doesn't have to cooperate perfectly for us to create something beautiful.

Your Baby Sets the Pace

After years of photographing newborns in my Syracuse, Utah studio, I've learned one very important thing: babies are wonderfully unpredictable.

Some sleep almost the entire session. Others need extra snuggles, feeding breaks, or a little more patience.

And that's completely okay.

I never expect a newborn to perform on a schedule. My sessions are baby-led, which means we take the time your little one needs to feel comfortable and secure.

There is no rushing through the experience.

You Don't Have to Figure Everything Out

One of my favorite parts of offering a fully guided newborn photography experience is taking the planning off your plate.

We'll talk about the colors, styling, poses, and portraits you love before your baby arrives.

When session day comes, you can settle in and relax while I handle the details.

And yes, I absolutely encourage moms and dads to be in the photos, too. You don't have to feel perfectly rested or camera-ready. I'll guide you through everything.

Because someday, your child won't be looking for a perfect hairstyle or outfit.

They'll be looking for you.
